- 1/15/02 Getgrapes announces it's in disucssions with Simonsvlei Wines of South Africa. Premium wines in three tiers of products.
- 9/10/01 Getgrapes announces that two of the Santo Stephano wines have received best buys from Beverage Tasting Institute.
85 • Santo Stefano (Italy) 1999 Rosso, Salento. $7.75 Best Buy Ruby-brick red hue. Soft red fruit and gamey aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a brisk, berryish finish. A versatile food wine for drinking through the next year.
89 • Santo Stefano (Italy) 1999 Limitone Dei Greci, Salice Salentino. $8.49 Best Buy Deep ruby-red hue with a hint of garnet. Very distinctive gamey, roasted aromas. Soft and slightly stewed red fruits on the medium-bodied palate with gamey flavors coming through on the finish. This wine packs a lot of flavor and character.
- 8/4/01 Getgrapes announces that the NV red and white wines of the Viña Rotura labels from Grandes Vinos Y Viñedos have received "recommended" ratings in 2001 by the US ratings house "Beverage Tasting Institute" , Chicago, IL Congratulations.
- 6/11/01 Getgrapes announces that all new vineyards and wines in the Getgrapes family of vineyards have to be rated by the respected B.T.I. Beverage Testing Institute in Chicago to be accepted for submission to National Accounts and must obtain atleast an 80 rating to be qualified. As of 2001 all our national accounts have gone to mandatory ratings before submission.
- 4/01/01 Getgrapes releases the new 2001 Profile for Vineyards. It is retro to Jan. 1st. " Due to our cost per vineyard in initial marketing costs and our commitment going forward to spend our assets on vineyards committed to the process, we are moving to a "fee per label" to eliminate the vineyards who have been lacking in true desire to open US markets", said Mr. Olson the Pres.& CEO of Getgrapes.com in a recent briefing.
